PENAMPANG: Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal and Datuk Darell Leiking will continue to lead Parti Warisan Sabah as its president and deputy president respectively, for the next three years after winning their respective posts uncontested.
Also retained their respective posts were Wira movement chief, Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman, and his Wirawati counterpart, Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis.
The Women’s movement election which was a first for the party since its inception in 2016 saw a three-cornered fight on Saturday and Siti Aminah Jabarkhan won with 120 votes.
Yesterday delegates voted to fill the 20 supreme council posts, which were hotly contested by 56 aspirants. Of the 20 winners, eight are elected representatives. The delegates also voted in three women to the supreme council.
Those elected were Sarifudin Hatta, Abdullah Minun, Chong Chen Ben, Johair Matlani, Honorsius Bosuin, Assaffal P. Alian, Hendry Siompon, Awang Ahmad Shah Sahari, Datuk Aidi Moktar, George Hiew, Ahmad Hassan, Chak Wah Cheun, Datuk Karim Bujang, Dr Daud Yusuf, Majamis Timbong, Aspah Abdullah Sani, Mazliwati Abdul Malik, Murni Roslee, Azhar Matusin and Datuk Jake Nointin.
Parti Warisan (Warisan) president Mohd Shafie Apdal announced the party's leadership line-up for the 2021 to 2024 term following the 2021 Warisan Annual General Assembly and party polls last Saturday.
In a statement issued last night, Mohd Shafie said he was confident that the leadership line-up was ready to go down to the field to meet the people in preparation for the 15th general election (GE15).
Shafie won the president post unopposed while the deputy president and the three vice-president posts were also uncontested.

The Wirawati (Women's Wing) top post was won unopposed by Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis, while Kunak assemblyperson Norazlinah Arif won the Wanita chief post and Kinabatangan Warisan division chief Ismail Ayub won the Wira chief post.
A total of 20 people were elected supreme council members (AMT), including Kalabakan MP Ma'mun Sulaiman; Papar MP Ahmad Hassan; Bongawan assemblyperson Dr Daud Yusof; Banggi assemblyperson Mohammad Mohamarin; Karamunting assemblyperson George Hiew Vun Zin; Tanjong Kapor assemblyperson Ben Chong Chen Bin; Darau assemblyperson Azhar Matussin; Merotai assemblyperson Sarifuddin Hata and Gum-Gum assemblyperson Arunarnsin Taib.
As for the appointed positions, Loretto Padua Jr remained as secretary-general while Petagas assemblyperson Awang Ahmad Sah remained as the Information chief.

Sepanggar MP Azis Jamman, who chose not to defend the Wira chief post to pave the way for younger leaders, is not in the leadership list.
The quota for appointed positions, namely two vice-presidents, one treasurer-general and 11 AMTs, has not been announced.
